How to Copy Files from Your PC to a Windows VPS

Transferring files from your local computer to a Windows VPS is simple when you use Remote Desktop Connection. You can transfer documents, trading software, indicators, Expert Advisors, strategy files, installers, and other important data.




Transfer Files Easily Using Remote Desktop Connection



  1. Copy and Paste Files Directly


  • Open Remote Desktop Connection on your computer.



  • Pressing Windows + R on your keyboard.



  • Typing mstsc in the Run box.




  • Clicking OK.



  • Enter your VPS IP address and click Connect.




  1. Locate the File on Your PC



  • Find the file or folder you want to transfer to the VPS.






  • Right-click the file and select Copy.





  • You can also select the file and press Ctrl + C on your keyboard.




  1. Paste the File into the VPS



  • Open the VPS through Remote Desktop Connection.





  • Go to the Desktop or open the destination folder where you want to save the file.





  • Right-click inside the folder and select Paste.





  • Alternatively, press Ctrl + V on your keyboard.





Wait for the transfer to finish. The required time will depend on the file size and your internet connection.
