How to Upload a NinjaTrader Workspace from Local PC to VPS (Step-by-Step Guide)
Learn how to easily transfer your NinjaTrader workspace from your local computer to your VPS in just a few minutes. This step-by-step guide explains where to find the workspace file, how to upload it, and how to open it on your VPS.
1. Locate the Workspace File on Your Local PC
- Open File Explorer on your computer.
Press Windows + E — and the File Explorer will open instantly!
- Go to the following folder path:
Documents\NinjaTrader 8\workspaces
- You’ll see one or more files with the .xml extension (e.g., MyWorkspace.xml).
- These are your NinjaTrader workspaces.
- Copy NinjaTrader workspaces.

2 . Log in to your VPS
Move the Copy file to:
Documents\NinjaTrader 8\workspaces
Load the Workspace on the VPS:
- Open NinjaTrader 8 on your VPS.
- From the top menu, go to Workspaces → Open Workspace.
- Select your uploaded workspace (e.g., MyWorkspace).
- Done! The workspace will now open exactly as it looked on your local PC.
