# How to Install .NET Framework 4.8 on a VPS

### What is .NET Framework 4.8?

Simply put, it acts as a foundation layer for Windows, meaning** many programs** require its files, libraries, and functions to operate properly.

### How to Install .NET Framework 4.8

1. Open Server Manager 

Click on Service Manager.

2. Add Roles and Features

Click on "Add Roles and Features.

3. Click next

4. Select Role-Based Installation

Choose "Role-Based or Feature-Based Installation" and proceed.

5. Choose Your VPS

Select your VPS from the list in the window and continue.

6. Use check marks Active directory certificate service 

And next

7. Add .NET Framework 4.8

From the list of features, check the box for ".NET Framework 4.8 Features".

8. Click next

9. “Select the role service to install for Active Directory Certificate Services”

 And Click next

10. And click install
